Karen Knorr was born in Germany, raised in Puerto Rico, and is based in London. A Professor of Photography at the University for the Creative Arts, her work critiques class, wealth, and patriarchal systems through carefully staged tableaux. Her notable series, such as 'India Song', combine architectural heritage sites with animal symbolism to explore postcolonialism and cultural identity. She is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society.
