Maïmouna Guerresi, born Patrizia Guerresi in Italy, is a multimedia artist whose work explores spirituality and hybrid identity. After converting to Sufi Islam in Senegal, she adopted the name Maïmouna. Her art blends Afro-Asian themes with traditional European iconography, focusing on human spirituality and shared humanity. She has exhibited widely, including at the Venice Biennale and the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art.
