Sheila Pepe is an American artist and educator best known for her large-scale, site-specific installations created using 'improvisational crochet'. Her work incorporates domestic and industrial materials to explore themes of feminism, queer aesthetics, craft traditions, and class. She has exhibited widely, including a mid-career survey titled 'Hot Mess Formalism'. Pepe was a recipient of the 2024–25 Rome Prize in Visual Arts.
