DESCRIPTION
Joshua Abelow is an American artist based in New York and Maryland. His work often features a recurring "self-portrait" character and uses simple, geometric forms that satirize the traditions of Modernist abstraction and the persona of the artist. He received his MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and was the creator of the influential project space "ART BLOG ART BLOG."
