Born in Arles, Samir Laghouati-Rashwan is a French artist based in Marseille. His practice centers on examining mundane objects—such as tonic bottles or tracksuits—to reveal how they function as bearers of complex colonial histories and geopolitical narratives. Through irony and precise archival research, he interrogates power relations and the representation of minoritized bodies in institutional spaces. He graduated from the École supérieure d'art & de design Marseille-Méditerranée in 2020.
