Rigobert Nimi is a sculptor from the Democratic Republic of the Congo known for his intricate, mechanical models of space stations, spaceships, and factories. Using recycled materials such as plastic, sheet metal, and electronic components found in Kinshasa, he creates futuristic, kinetic works inspired by science fiction that incorporate light and movement.
