DESCRIPTION
Kelani Abass is a Nigerian artist based in Lagos. He graduated from Yaba College of Technology and is a member of the Society of Nigerian Artists. His practice often involves the use of archival materials, family photographs, and old printing presses to explore memory, the passage of time, and the relationship between humans and machines. He has participated in several international residencies and won numerous awards, including the 3rd Black Heritage Prize.
