Steffani Jemison is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice explores Black vernacular culture, sound, and the politics of literacy and resistance. Her work often utilizes early cinematic tropes and research-based methodologies to examine how meaning is embodied and transmitted. She has had solo presentations at the Museum of Modern Art and the Stedelijk Museum.
