Yu Nishimura creates dreamlike, multilayered oil and tempera paintings that draw from everyday sources like street photography and anime. His work often features blurred edges and overlapping perspectives to explore the impermanence of perception and memory. A graduate of Tama Art University, his work has been featured at Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa.
