Tiziana La Melia was born in 1982 in Palermo, Italy and is based in Vancouver. Her multidisciplinary practice gleans the detritus of the everyday, transmuting it into shapes and symbols that explore female archetypes and the feminine unconscious. She won the RBC Canadian Painting Competition in 2014.
