Claude Cahun (born Lucy Schwob) was a French Surrealist artist and writer known for self-portraits that explored gender identity and androgyny. Often collaborating with Marcel Moore, Cahun's work challenged societal norms and anticipated contemporary discussions on gender fluidity. Much of their work was produced while living on the island of Jersey.
