Jean Fouquet was a preeminent French painter and manuscript illuminator of the 15th century. He is best known for the 'Melun Diptych', whose right wing, 'Madonna Surrounded by Seraphim and Cherubim', is one of the most iconic masterpieces in the KMSKA collection.
