Known as Pierre Cuypers, he was a prolific 19th-century architect who revitalized Dutch architecture. His landmark projects include the Rijksmuseum and the Amsterdam Central Station. He designed over 100 churches and was a pioneer of the Neo-Gothic style in the Netherlands.
