Kosuke Nakane blurs the boundaries between painting and sculpture with playful precision, using materials like Japanese rice paper (washi), silver leaf, and pigments from minerals and plants. His work explores spatial depth and the collaborate role of shadows. He holds an M.A. in Japanese painting from Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently based in New York.
