Karimah Ashadu is a filmmaker and artist whose practice explores the perception of self and space, with a focus on labor and notions of independence within the socio-economic context of Nigeria and West Africa. She was awarded the Silver Lion for a Promising Young Participant at the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024.
