Born Armand Pierre Fernandez, Arman was a founding member of the Nouveau Réalisme movement. He is known for his 'accumulations' and 'poubellis' (trash cans). The Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg holds examples of his work in ceramics, such as the 'Demi Tasse' coffee service.
