Wolfgang Tümpel was a Bauhaus-trained designer and silversmith. He founded a workshop for vessels, jewelry, and lighting in Halle before moving to Hamburg, where he led the metal class at the Landeskunstschule. His designs for functional objects, such as silver tea services and lamps, are celebrated for their clarity and formal innovation.
