Constructive Art, Sculpture
Hartmut Böhm was a leading proponent of European Concrete and Constructive art. His work is characterized by acute formal reduction and systematic methodologies, often based on the concept of 'Progressionen gegen Unendlich' (progression towards infinity). He studied under Arnold Bode at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Kassel and produced his first systems-based works in 1959.
