Bernard Faucon is a pioneer of staged photography, known for his series 'Les Grandes Vacances' (1977–1981) which utilized mannequins to create dreamlike, nostalgic scenes of childhood. He studied philosophy at the Sorbonne and was one of the first artists to explore the 'constructed image' before formally ending his photographic practice in 1995.
