Calligraphy
YU-ICHI, born as Inoue Yûichi, was a pivotal figure in 20th-century Japanese art who redefined calligraphy. He was a co-founder of the avant-garde group Bokujinkai (Ink Human Society) in 1952. His work is characterized by raw, expressive power, often focusing on single large-scale kanji characters as a form of abstract expression.
