Yasuhisa Kohyama is a master ceramicist from Shigaraki. He played a key role in reviving the traditional Anagama wood-fired kiln. His unglazed sculptural forms are inspired by ancient Japanese Sueki and Shigaraki traditions, characterized by rough surfaces and natural ash glazes.
