Born in Neuenhain, Elvira Bach is a prominent figure of the contemporary German art movement 'Junge Wilde'. She gained international recognition after participating in Documenta 7 in 1982 and is best known for her vibrant, stylized neo-expressionist female portraits and self-portraits.
