Mirko Schallenberg is a Berlin-based artist known for his unique approach to still life painting, specifically his 'thing pyramids'—stacks of everyday objects like honeycombs, books, and stones. His work explores the metaphysical nature of objects and the concept of balance. He studied at the Braunschweig University of Art and currently teaches at the Academy of Painting in Berlin.
