Conceptual Art, Installation, and Performance
Àngels Ribé is a prominent figure in Catalan conceptual art. Emerging in the late 1960s, her early practice involved ephemeral actions and performances that utilized the body and space as central tools. Her work reflects a process of dematerialization, transitioning from sculpture and nontraditional materials to the investigation of light, shadow, and geometry. She returned to Barcelona in the 1980s after several years in Paris and the United States.
