Born in Kėdainiai, Lithuania, Gintarė Sokelytė lives and works in Frankfurt and Vilnius. Her artistic practice focuses on the human body as an instrument for perceiving existence and emotions, often creating immersive installations and film works. She is a graduate of the Städelschule in Frankfurt.
