DESCRIPTION
Nika Fontaine is a Montreal-born artist based in Spain whose work explores consciousness, identity, and universal truths. Drawing inspiration from alchemy, Kabbalah, and theosophy, her practice seeks to spiritualize matter through craftsmanship. She studied at the Berlin-Weissensee Academy of Art and Concordia University, and her gender transition in 2014 deeply informs her themes of self-care and emancipation.
