DESCRIPTION
An Expressionist painter of Jewish descent and member of 'Das Junge Rheinland'. He is known for his vibrant watercolors and for collecting nearly 2,000 children's drawings while teaching at Jewish schools during the Nazi era. He was murdered in Auschwitz in 1943.
