C.O. Paeffgen was a Cologne-based artist known for his ironic and playful approach to everyday objects and media imagery. He became famous for his 'wrappings' (Umwicklungen) of objects with wire and his 'outlines' (Umrandungen) of photographs and newspaper clips with thick markers.
