Born in Cologne, Sophie Heinrich studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, becoming a master student of Elizabeth Peyton in 2017. Her work focuses on abstract painting with a strong emphasis on color fields and the historical approaches to abstraction from the mid-20th century.
