Gisoo Kim was born in Seoul and lives in Essen. She studied sculpture at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Irmin Kamp. Her unique technique involves hand-stitching and embroidering photographs together to create multi-layered, surreal landscapes and poetic visual worlds.
