Multidisciplinary Art
Fatma Al Ali is a Sharjah-based multidisciplinary artist whose work engages with archival excavation and the historiography of the Gulf region. Working across sculpture, spatial installation, and moving image, she uses geological matter like sand and soil to explore themes of memory, territory, and colonial history. She was a Salama Bint Hamdan Emerging Artist Fellow and was selected for the Abu Dhabi Art 'Beyond Emerging Artist' commission.
