Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim is a founding figure of the contemporary art scene in the United Arab Emirates. Based in Khorfakkan, his work is deeply rooted in his relationship with the local landscape and often utilizes organic materials such as clay and leaves. His practice includes sculpture, land art, and painting, focusing on primordial forms and rhythms. He represented the UAE at the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022 and his work is in the collections of the Centre Pompidou and the British Museum.
