Makoto Ofune

DESCRIPTION

Makoto Ofune graduated from Kyoto University of Education with a major in Japanese-style painting (Nihon-ga). He uses traditional materials like powdered mineral pigments and hemp paper to create abstract, meditative works that explore themes of eternity and harmony. His practice includes large-scale circular sculptures installed in spiritual sites across Japan.
