Sir Frank Bowling

Born in British Guiana, Sir Frank Bowling is a master of abstract painting. He was the first Black artist elected to the Royal Academy of Arts and is celebrated for his innovations in color field painting and his 'map' paintings that fuse autobiographical memories with material experimentation.
