Born in Whitstable and based in Kent, UK, Bailey's practice explores environmental issues through materiality. She is known for using 'the black stuff' (plastic marine pollutants from industrial oyster farming) and salvaged sheep's wool. Her work has been acquired by the Fondation François Schneider.
