DESCRIPTION
Born in Shanghai, Chen Yanyin studied jade carving before graduating from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. Her work often addresses the female experience and personal memory, notably through her 'Mother' series. She worked at the Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute for decades and completed a master's degree in Sydney.
