Born in Shanghai, Xu Zhen is a leading figure of China's younger generation of artists. In 2009, he founded MadeIn Company, and in 2013, he launched the brand XU ZHEN®, presenting himself as a commodity. His work often investigates the circulation of cultural and financial value in a globalized market, often using humor and monumental scale to reveal social prejudices.
