An ethnic Miao artist from Hunan Province, Peng Yong's abstract and philosophical works are deeply influenced by his practice as a Buddhism scholar. His art explores the order of the universe and the Zen concept of time through repetitive brushstrokes and color blocks. He studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
