DESCRIPTION

Joel Sherwood Spring is a Wiradjuri anti-disciplinary artist and architect. His work examines contested narratives of Australia's urban cultural and Indigenous history in the face of ongoing colonisation. He focuses on the spatial dynamics of power, extraction, and Indigenous materialist readings of art and architecture. He is a 2024 Clothing Store artist-in-residence at Carriageworks.
