Vincent Namatjira is a Western Aranda artist and the great-grandson of Albert Namatjira. He is a celebrated portraitist who uses wit and caricature to interrogate colonial histories and the influence of the British Empire. In 2020, he became the first Indigenous artist to win the Archibald Prize, recognized for his wry, politically charged depictions of prominent global and national figures.
