Betty Muffler is a highly respected Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara artist and a renowned ngangkari (traditional healer). Her practice is deeply interconnected with Anangu culture and the concept of 'Healing Country' (Ngangkari Ngura). A survivor of the Maralinga nuclear tests, her works often feature monochromatic palettes and sprawling patterns that depict ancestral pathways and healing sites from an aerial perspective.
