André Hemer

DESCRIPTION

André Hemer is a New Zealand-born artist based in Vienna whose work explores the intersections between digital media and traditional painting. His practice involves scanning physical objects en plein air to capture their interaction with natural light, then recomposing and overpainting the digital artifacts to create highly textural, hybrid works that blur the boundary between physical and virtual experience.
