Abdul Abdullah is an Australian artist whose practice is primarily concerned with the experience of the 'other' and the disjuncture between perception and reality of lived identity. As a seventh-generation Australian Muslim of Malay and Indonesian heritage, he often addresses the politicisation of Muslim identity in a post-9/11 world, using provocative imagery to examine themes of alienation and social displacement.
