Elyas Alavi is a Hazara artist and poet originally from Afghanistan. His multidisciplinary practice examines intersections of displacement, memory, and queer Muslim diasporic identities. His solo exhibition 'ALAM' at 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art utilized symbols and poetry to reflect on community codes and histories of resistance. He is a member of the ELEVEN Collective.
