A winner of the National Prize for Plastic Arts in 2021, Francisco Gazitúa is one of Chile's most prominent sculptors. He is renowned for his large-scale public works crafted from steel, stone, and wood, which often reflect Andean identity and the raw qualities of his materials. He studied at the University of Chile and Saint Martin's School of Art in London.
