Painting and Printmaking
Elizabeth Murray was a pioneer of contemporary painting known for her use of shaped canvases that blur the line between painting and sculpture. Her colorful, abstract compositions often feature fragmented domestic imagery and cartoon-like aesthetics. A MacArthur Fellow, her work is held in the collections of major institutions including the Museum of Modern Art and the Frost Art Museum.
