Beverly Semmes is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans sculpture, textile, video, and photography. She is widely known for her large-scale fabric sculptures of oversized dresses that explore the female body and representation. Her "Feminist Responsibility Project" (FRP) involves transforming found imagery with pools of color to address gender roles and womanhood.
