DESCRIPTION
Hwang Nam Gyu, also known by the artist name ARO, was born in Sacheon, South Korea. He majored in sculpture at Dong-A University in Busan. His sculptural work explores physical intimacy and healing processes through the repetitive act of rubbing and polishing surfaces by hand. He has held solo exhibitions at Jeongsu Gallery and Topohaus.
