Karl Klingbiel

DESCRIPTION

Karl Klingbiel is a New York-based abstract painter known for a process-oriented methodology of image-building. He often uses a router to incise large plywood panels before building layers of oil and polymer, creating 'constructed' paintings that explore a dialectic of horizontal and vertical vectors.
