Born in London and raised in Nigeria and Australia, Jebila Okongwu lives and works in Rome. He is known for using banana boxes as a primary medium to critique stereotypes of Africa and explore cultural histories of migration and trade. He received a Graduate Diploma in Fine Art from the University of Melbourne.
